She said:

Be for me like the stately poplar,

deeply rooted in the earth,

reaching high unto the heavens,

firm yet flexing through the gales.

Let me cling to your sturdy trunk

when the wind howls,

and see all my fears,

my bruised and battered self,

disperse and disappear.

He said:

You shall now rise at every dawn

with the unwavering certainty

that I am with you wherever you are. You may choose to be alone,

but will never again feel lonely.

My bows remain to shade you,

my wooden stature to stay you.
