Balance of power
The greatest power available to you, no matter how smart and strong you may be, is a power that is not yours to control. All of existence is flowing like a great river. If you become like water, no obstacle can impede you.
Similarly, think of yourself as a sailboat. You must capture the wind and follow the currents. When you are aligned with these elements, you are swift and sure. When you are in resistance, you go nowhere or worse, will capsize.
The yin principle is one of receptivity, acceptance, and surrender. It is greatly misunderstood in our male-dominant world that only recognizes the use of force and intellect. All of men’s efforts to harness women will bring about their own destruction. Man is born of woman and is utterly dependent on her womb, from which the physical experience of oneness is memorized in our cells. A mother provides the vital introduction to love, which is the only thing that matters in the end. Since the male spirit tends to want control over life, the less visible but more absolute feminin power subconsciously terrifies his gender. That is why, over the greater span of human history, man has sought to dominate the woman in every possible way. As a woman, your true power lies not in playing a man's game according to men's rules. That will only serve to maintain the social imbalance, dominated by the male capacity to plan, analyse, and act. Your true power is in the affirmation of the feminin principle, by which you will more naturally dissipate conflict, feel more naturally interconnected with others, preserve rather than destroy, share rather than hoard. As a man, the yin principle is also a part of you. Its power is available to you, both within yourself and in your relationship with women. There is no threat here to your yang energy. It is like a flame that heats a pot of water. The water holds the heat long after the flame has disappeared.
